Classification – dry white wine, PGI Crete.
Varietal Composition – Syrah 89%, Kotsifali 11%.
Vineyard - from Alagni area, altitude 480 m, soil clay-loam.
Vinification - Green harvest in July in order to obtain a proper taste and polyphenol ripeness. Hand-harvested during the first week of September. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation was achieved at temperatures between 20-25 °C. 7% of the wine has been aged in oak barrels for 9 months.
Eye - dark inky- red color.
Nose - aromas of mixed berries and dark fruit with hints of florals, oak and delicate spice.
Palate - is rich and zesty, with good length and fruity-piquant aromatic aftertaste.
Pairing Suggestions - grilled red meat, game and piquant cheese.
Best served at 15-16 °C.
