Vineyard – from Koutsi area in Nemea region, altitude 580 m.
Vinification - traditional red vinification, 18-month maturation in 65% new 225 l French oak barrels, followed by 24 months of ageing in the bottle.
Eye - bright, deep garnet, with intense viscosity.
Nose - ripe red fruit on the nose that illustrates the character of an age-worthy Agiorgitiko. Complex aromas of spices and herbs, coming from the long time spent in barrique, as well as in bottle.
Palate - dense and round on the palate. Velvety and graceful tannins, rich alcohol with noted acidity that provides balance. A long aftertaste, full of volume and flavors of chocolate, marmalade, toasted bread and cinnamon.
Pairing Suggestions - rich meat dishes, roast lamb, charcoal grilled and spit roasted meats and hard yellow or creamy cheeses.
Best served at 15-16 °C.
