Classification – dry red wine, PDO Rapsani.
Varietal Composition - Xinomavro 65%, Krasato 25%, Stavroto 10%.
Vineyard - - situated at an altitude of 600 meters at the south-east slopes of Mount Olympus. The bush vines are 70 years old.
Vinification - classic red, produced from low yields and top-notch quality grapes, it is matured in French oak barrels 300 l for 18 months and in bottles for 12 months.
Eye - translucent garnet with bricky rim.
Nose - savory and mineral with a core of herbs and incense along bright red fruit.
Palate - well-structured and elegant on the palate, it will reward cellaring.
Pairing Suggestions - with differently cooked meat as casserole, grilled or roasted, especially lamb and goat.
Best served at 16-18 °C.
