Varietal Composition – Syrah 100%.
Vineyard - the selected single vineyard “Drisbay”, altitude 250 meters, at the south-east slopes of mount Knimis.
Vinification - classic red vinification method under controlled conditions. It matures for 12 months in French oak barriques 228 l.
Eye - deep red and purple color.
Nose - black fruit aromas such as blueberry and blackberry, black pepper, leather, olive and cedar.
Palate - a complex wine on the palate. The aromas are also met here as well as jamminess, sweet spices and tomato. Medium acidity, high tannin and long peppery finish.
Pairing Suggestions - grilled meat, fillet mignon with black pepper sauce, barbeque sauce pork chops, roasted lamb, wild boar, sausage, salami, kebab, cured meat platter.
Best served at 15-18 °C.
