Classification – dry red wine, PGI Atalanti Valley.

Varietal Composition – Merlot 100%.

Vineyard - the sub-mountainous single vineyard "Yataki", altitude 250 m, on the outskirts of mount Knimis.

Vinification - classic red vinification under controlled temperature. Aged for 12 months in 228 l French oak barriques.

Eye - deep ruby color.

Nose - aromas of black fruits are mostly dominant such as black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, sweet spices, wet wood and vanilla.

Palate - medium to full body, soft tannins. On the palate we can confirm the black fruits of the nose and spices as well as chocolate and some herbaceous notes. The long finish adds to the complexity of this wine.

Pairing Suggestions - meat casserole dishes, grilled red meat, shank, roasted pork, duck with light sauce, stuffed turkey, beef Bourguignon, rabbit ragu.

Best served at 15-18 °C.
